Make it Work forms part of the larger series This Way, That Way, Some Way, No Way. Taking posters as a medium for bringing home and exhibiting experiences, this series is composed of 11×17 Newsprint Posters that address the conflictive process of self definition that occur while transitioning into adulthood and an artistic practices. Utilized to cover an entire wall and intended to be taken home by the audience, these posters serve to define the experience of a space by introducing ambiguous self-reflective phrases. Through the use of repetition, these posters involve the simultaneous creation, distortion, and destruction of meaning. The phrase carries an ambiguously personal and yet distant voice that references the act of writing lines, the repetitive processes of learning and memorization, and the internal reinforcement of ideas we seek to convince ourselves of. Free to take, the posters allow the Assembly guests to take a physical component of the conference home, mirroring their ability to learn and take knowledge and experiences home with them.

Make It Work was exhibited at the 2018 PUSH Youth Assembly held at the Roundhouse Community Arts & Recreation Centre as part of the 2018 PUSH International Performing Arts Festival
