Object Theatre is an ongoing project of sculptural installations that take a personal collection of objects as raw material for distinct scenes and installations. As personal materials are taken out of order and reordered, grouped, and presented, they become an active collection. These arrangements, which are purposefully organized for dramatic effect, reference theatricality and puppetry to create distinct ‘staged moments.’ These moments are created from repurposed objects, which are mass produced and hand made, originals and copies, worn and unused. Suspended, placed, or combined they create new characters and scenes that draw from childhood memories and storytelling processes to give these objects a narrative life.
